While scanning my facebook news feed, I saw this story of Lola Ramona Correa written by Ms. Marianne Amarga. Marianne said that she saw Lola Ramona at a grotto in Teresa, Sta. Mesa, Manila, few steps away from PUP Sta. Mesa Main Campus where Marianne was studying at. Marianne felt sympathetic to Lola Ramona because of how she looks. So Marianne tried to approach her and lend her some coins and a carton of milk. Then Marianne and Lola Ramona fall into a serious conversation about the old woman herself and how did she ended up staying at the grotto.

Kanina habang naglalakad pauwi sa Teresa PUP, Sta.Mesa Manila. May nakita akong matandang naka-upo sa tabi ng grotto. Binigyan ko ng 4 pesos, habang inutusan ko yung kaibigan ko na bumili ng Anlene para inumin ni lola. Nakaka-awa yung ichura nya. Habang may dala syang cane, na may naka-sabit na mga ID at iba pang card. Nagtanong ako, "Nay napano po kayo?" Sabi nya, "Iniwan ako nang anak ko dito, sabi nya babalikan nya ko. Hanggang ngayon wala pa din sya." Sabi ko naman, "Taga saan po ba kayo nay?" Sagot nya, " Sa pasig. Taga dun ung anak ko." Binigyan ko sya ng 30 pesos. Sa tingin ko naman eh malaking tulong na yun para maka-uwi sya. Hanggang sa tinanong ko bakit sya naka-tungkod. Kung may sakit ba sya o ano. Sabi ni Nanay eh, "Dalawang taon na yung nakalipas mula nung masagasaan ako ng kotse. Di ako manloloko anak, 85 years old na ako, sa katibayan nya eto yung mga ID ko, business permit. Dahil may negosyo ako dati, nag-xe2rox kami. Pero yung inampon ko eh niloko ako. Pinapirma ako dahil ibebenta daw nya yung lupain namin ng 6 million, tapos P400,000 pa lang ang naibigay nya sakin, umalis sya sa bansa. Yung bunso na inampon ko naman eh kinuha din yung mga naipundar ko at iniwan ako dito. Hanggang ngayon naghihintay ako na balikan ako. Napaka-walanghiya nila. Pinag-aral ko sila, tapos ganito gagawin nila sakin. (Pinakita nya sakin yung mga litrato nya) Eto pa nga ako noon, kasama ko si Joseph Estrada, nagpapicture ako. Tapos eto yung inampon ko. Wala kasi akong asawa anak eh, ang gusto ko lang sa ngayon eh maka-uwi na sa Davao. Kasi nandun yung mga pamangkin ko at kapatid ko aalagaan nila ako dun." Sabi ko naman eh. "Nay gusto nyo po bang ihingi ko kayo nang tulong? Sa simbahan o kaya sa home for the aged. O hindi kaya sa mga sikat na TV show? Kung hindi nyo mamasamain kukuhaan ko kayo ng litrato para makahingi tayo nang tulong." Sabi nya. "Sige anak salamat! Pagpalain ka nang diyos! Maraming salamat may katulad mo na tumulong at pumansin sakin."

The world of YouTube had been rocked by a video of a 2-yr old baby (I mean a real 2-yr old :) shooting basketballs and not just simply shooting them but literally making them pass through the hoops. The said video of Titus was only uploaded last February 3, 2013 and it had already reached more than 4.5 million views and still counting. Now the video is already hitting not just YouTube but also other social media sites, international news and various international shows.
Titus' dad, Joseph Ashby, had already confirmed that the video was uploaded without any camera tricks and video enhancements or editing. So it is real guys! You can even tell that it's authentic just by your own mediocre eyes.
Joseph also said that Titus had started shooting basketballs when he was still younger and by 18-months, he can already score a ball without even looking. While Titus' mom, Kristin Ashby, said that Titus really loves playing basketball and plays 90% of his free time playing and spend only 10% with his toys.
Titus was said to grow his passion for the sports by watching basketball games of Miami Heat together with his dad. By observing the professional players, and add to that his watching of his brothers, Titus developed his talent and became really skillful.
Titus' parents said that they only joked about the video being viral and that they didn't think that it would ever happen. But when they posted, they started to be bombarded with comments, reviews, calls, emails, etc. etc.
Kristin also told in an interview that Titus really loves to be challenged. He would find ways of making challenges for himself. One of Titus' trick is taking a running start before shooting the ball. He also constantly finds new places to play basketball. Like when his mom will wash dishes, there will be a ball on the sink. Kristin said that Titus would should the ball on the sink, on the bathtub, on his crib or on any basket floating around the house.
Although Titus doesn't have any idea how famous he is, he loves watching his video. He would cheer for himself everytime he would watch himself.
Now the basketball industry in the US already have a new prodigy to watch for. But let's just for now on what team will Titus play for the NBA if ever.

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board or MTRCB ordered GMA's sunday concert tv show "Party Pilipinas" to air a public apology due to their January 27, 2013's episode's sexually-charged scenes. MTRCB also wants he show to release a public apology on a newspaper that circulates generally by February 9, 2013.
MTRCB then put the show on probation for six (6) months and that every episode during that duration will be reviewed by the board. MTRCB also directs all the head (directors, trainors, managers, etc) of the show to put their people on gender sensitivity training. However, the MTRCB thanked GMA for their cooperative work addressing the Party Pilipinas issue and they also thanked the public for it's vigilance over the PP matter.

Since last year (2012), ABS CBN have already confirmed that they will be adopting the world famous musical reality show from the US, The Voice. But since then, developments about the said pinoy version program have been on a slow pace. Though some international blind auditions have already been made by September 2012.
But I guess 2013 is really the year for "The Voice Philippines". New updates about the said show have been released just recently. And the Filipino people can't wait any longer to know more about the show and when will it really air.
ABS CBN firstly confirmed that two of the host of Pinoy Big Brother, Robi Domingo and Toni Gonzaga, will officially host the said show.
But what really leave the pinoys hanging is the question who will be the 4 judges/coaches of The Voice Philippines?
Latest update is that the very own main host and star of "Sarah G Live", Sarah Geronimo, is the first ever confirmed judge/coach.
The band leader of Pupil, Ely Buendia, (and of the legendary band, Eraserheads) have been earlier said to become one of the coaches but lately the show said that he won't anymore.
Meanwhile, ABS CBN hinted the nation of who would possibly seat at the remaining 2 red chairs for the coaches.

So The Voice Philippines is already quite settled, now we'll just have to wait for the blind audition schedules. But for those who really want to try their luck earlier, try to audition at "The Voice ng Radyo".
